I was recently admitted to UW Seattle. I'm under the impression that my unofficial transcript should list my AP scores, but it doesn't. (I saw somebody else's unofficial transcript and it had a list of their AP scores.) How do I know if UW got the scores?

When did you send in your AP scores?

I believe College Board sent them in last summer, as I listed University of Washington as the school to which I wished the scores to be sent.

Call admissions to see if they received it. If not, you can bring your AP scores on the official paper they mail you whenever you want and any adviser will input it for you. Don’t worry if it’s not showing up now. :)

Alright, thanks!

Just make sure you contact them as soon as possible so that your registration will not be affected by this. Note that it’s often difficult for new students who have had AP credits before entering UW to get into classes they want. To avoid as much inconvenience as possible, act as early as possible.

Thank you for your assistance. I will be sure to contact them promptly.

If you bring in a paper copy of your scores into A&O, they can be entered in right away. That’s what I did … and I registered literally 10 minutes after once I decided on which sections of classes I wanted.

However, earlier is safer if you’re planning on using those credits! :)

I am indeed planning on using those credits!

I have a question that pertains to this topic a bit. Since AP scores come out in July, would it be best to schedule an A&O during that time so that when we register for classes some of them can be covered by the AP credits. Not sure if this is the best plan of action since have a later A&O means registering for classes later and possibly not getting them.

I would suggest getting the earliest A&O possible to sign up for at least a decent schedule. Everyone else will get their AP scores in July, so once they’re out, sign up for anything you were restricted against, like math.

Speedsolver, did you bring them in the sealed College Board envelope or did you simply bring the piece of paper that was contained inside the envelope?

I brought the paper contained in the envelope.

Thank you for the clarification.

I would also suggest getting the earliest A&O possible. For new students, if you sign up for later A&O, the later it is, the less likely you can get into classes you want. For earlier ones, you have more flexibility to register classes.

When will I first be able to view the Autumn 2012 time schedule?

In about two weeks.

Thank you, triseradad.
