Heard a rumor that Yale didn't take anyone this year from Westchester County, New York or Fairfield County, Connecticut. Find that almost unbelieveable since these two counties have for years provided Yale with some of its most outstanding students. Any truth to the rumor?

I'd bet my weekly allowance against THAT rumor!

Sounds impossible

Maybe they admitted LESS, but I'm sure there are plenty of students from Westchester and Fairfield in the class of '09

there's absolutely no way that's true.

No, I met people from there who got in.

I know plenty of Fairfield county kids who are going. Greenwich basically owns Yale...and all the other big name schools.

nope cause they take tons of ppl from fairfield county! they even have an admissions officer for fairfield county

I live in Westchester (Larchmont to be specific) and I got in.

D. got in. Fairfield, but Private school.

Hey anybody know how many people Greenwich got in, I can give a clue about Amity for those who know it. For those who don't its down the road from Yale and many professors kids go to it.

well, i support the idea the they took in LESS this year from Fairfield County. i'm from Fairfield County and usually at least one person is accepted into Yale from our school each year. I heard similar things from neighboring schools. Granted, it's only several schools, so it might not mean anything.

CC user actie is from fairfield county and was accepted. also, at least a dozen new haven county kids were accepted, if not more.

Congrats!!!!!!!!! lucky!!!!

plus think of all the westchester and fairfield kids that go to prep schools....

Westchester and Southern Ct are Yale's breadbasket.

More then a dozen where accepted from new haven county. I can name at least 5 from my area. And i'm sure theres tons more at places like hopkins etc.

Enough, already!

sorry Byerly-
14 from Hopkins!

Yale is overrun with Westchester and Fairfield kids. I'm glad I got to know the ones I did (I've been able to visit some sick homes) but there are probably too many of em.
