Did you all get your semester grades back?

I got an A (econ), A- (spanish lit), A- (intl politics), B+ (govt and econ), and a B (political theory... blah). 15 credits. Right now I have a 3.5, same as in HS (UW). I'll be shooting for straight As next semester. Gotta buckle down and study...

ive gotten five of mine back so far (out of six) and i'm in my senior year..

so far I have three grades of 4, one grade of 3.5, and one grade of 3. I am hoping to get a 4 in my sixth class, which would give me a GPA of 3.75 for this semester. i'm not sure what my overall gpa is, but i know it's less than that.. so this semester should help me a lot :)

Your school doesn't do 4, 3.66, 3.33, 3, etc? BTW, I go to WFU in case any of you are wondering.

The only grade I have back is a C in History of Jazz... yeouch! But I'm almost positive I'll get an A in Honors 200 Writing and an A in Religion 121. To round it out I have a pretty good shot at getting an A (maybe A-) in Calculus 2 and a B in Proof Theory. The GPA comes out somewhere between 3.4 and 3.5-- not good, but I'm content with it for now.

I got a C in large systems technologies, but everyone in the class practically did. I haven't got other grades back yet, but I believe that I got an A and yet another B. I had commencement Two days ago so I could honestly care less. COLLEGE IS OVER!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!

Happy birthday to me also!!

nope. actually, every year up to this year they only did 4, 3, 2, 1, 0... the .5's were just added this year. it used to be .. like an 88 was a 3.. and a 92 was a 4.. so i guess it all works out in the end. but now, 88-92 is a 3.5

happy birthday joe.

Unfortunately, my school won't be posting them until December 24. If my curiousity doesn't overcome me, I will be looking at them on December 26, so as not to ruin my Christmas in case there's anything to cringe about.

But on another note, since I suddenly feel in the mood to brag: http://www.geocities.com/savephair/webct.JPG

We had a hard chem final and I'm the only one in the 132-148.5 bracket. My sleepless night of cramming was worth it after all. Only 3 people out of about 165 got an A for the final grade. Hard work pays off, time to go celebrate and eat some yummy fruit!

Definately sucking this semester. Got a 2.56 ouch. But I'll retake a course that will replace a grade so that'll change things up. I'll definately try my hardest next time unlike this semester.

Not so great. I'm a freshman at Georgetown University so my grades are definitely a damn wake-up call. C (International Business), C+ (Accounting), A (PreCalc), and I think an A- (English). Still above a 3.0 because the English was 6 credits.

Freshman at Embry-Riddle prescott for aero. eng.: I got one A (Calc2), 4 Bs (aero. eng., programming, Physics, english comp.), and a pass (univ101). So, a 3.3. Ok I guess for first semester, but I hope to improve.

Yeah, I did OK, but I'm definitely going all out next semester. I'm trying to graduate with a 3.7 or above. It will take a lot of ndbisme dedication, but it shall be done. BTW, congrats mosby on your test results!

grades should be expected to be lower in college...

I have resisted the temptations to look at grades, dunno when I'll do it, but I don't think all of mine are up yet. I'm looking at anywhere from 2.9-3.2. It could be lower if my saxophone teacher gives my like a C or something, in which case I will drop my saxophone lessons completely, and he will not be getting money from me for the next 7 semesters I am at school.

Well, I think I got A's in all but one of my classes (borderline A-B in psychology, but I think B). However, it doesn't really matter because at MIT we have pass/no record freshman year which means that on our transcript all it shows is P if we passed the class, and doesn't list anything if we failed. It helps all of us poor freshman adjust to the rigors of MIT. Next semester we'll be on grades though, but I'm ready!

Wow, angrod, that is amazing. Are there any other colleges that do p or f for freshman year? I know some law schools do this too, for the first year.

jhu is pass/fail first semester freshman year

I got three A's and three B's (my school doesn't use + and -). I couldn't as many A's as I could last semester. My cumulative GPA went from 3.51 to 3.49. One of my scholarships requires a 3.5 minimum for continuation next year. I hope 0.01 doesn't make a huge difference. If I can hover around 3.5 until I graduate in 2006 I'll be happy. Major = mechanical engineering.

I got straight A's this quarter but I found out that my A- in multivariable calculus means I dont have a 4.0. WTF is up with that?!

Next quarter I'm going to shoot for a 4.0.

if your school does -'s an a- is prolly a 3.66

Grades(I've listed all by memory--like anyone cares, right?:( )

A : Literature & Medicine
A : Spanish (intermediate)
B+ : Criminology

Past grades at current institution:
A : Geology Lab
A : English Literature
A- : Social Problems
A+ : Spanish (elementary I)
A+ : Geology

A- : Sociology of the Family
A : Social Research Methods
A- : Spanish (elementary II)
B+ : History (forgot which one...)

Other grades from other school were all A's.

MIT and JHU probably do that to cutback on any urges to want to suicide. That's pretty nice of them.
