i hear you, woman of troy. despite all of this negative stuff, i still like UCLA.

every school has its pitfalls. you just have to make the best of it.

also, you can't pass up a school that once had Bertrand Russell and now has David Kaplan for your department... no way.

the semester system makes me miserable. i can't stand being on one subject for so long. i'm sure i'll be singing a different tune when/if i enter the quarter system... haha, but oh well, i'm sure i'll adjust.

donguan78- so it seems like you are reapplying this year again? what is your first choice? why did you reapply to UCLA again?i thought you hate it so much..

Yea, even if I don't get Regents at UCB, and do get Regents at UCLA, I will be attending UCB; the only case I would attend UCLA is if I am rejected from UCB.

If she was a current student, do you think UCLA will give them such important information? Will UCLA tells them admitted students before they announce to the public?

Here is an email reply I received in regards to the phone calls that were made and why some may not have received one:

"Thank you for your interest in the UCLA Alumni Scholarship program.

Last night, and again tonight, our current Alumni Scholars are reaching out to Community College Transfer applicants that have met the GPA requirement for our application; which you certainly have. We would love to call every single one of the applicants, but unfortunately are limited on our resources. Please do not take it as an indication that you should not apply for the scholarship just because we don't call you, it truly has no baring on your qualifications or possibilities. However, if you would like to speak with a current scholar please let me know and I can make sure that happens. I have included a direct link to our scholarship application and hope that you will apply."
