I am concerned for my brother, pulling B’s and C+'s in Freshman year, and I am wondering if Freshman year has gotten easier/harder since I was one.
I did not find it much harder than the other grades. how about you guys???

Freshmen year, definitely the easiest
Same. By far the easiest year.
I’m a sophomore and 9th grade was a lot easier.
I thought freshman year suited freshman year. The workload was what I could handle, and as I got older, that workload and rigor got larger. In retrospect, however, it is easier than sophomore year.
Workload was definitely easiest. However, time management proved EXTREMELY difficult for me, but I came from homeschool.
Freshman year was ridiculously easy, and I was taking some of the highest classes offered. Honestly, my 8th grade year was more challenging. Not that I didn’t learn anything in freshman year, it’s just that the workload was very manageable.
Agreed, gg no re Freshman year
The 9th grade teachers I had have made the workload for this year’s freshmen even easier than it was when I was in 9th grade. By far the easiest year for me, but my younger sibling is going through the same thing. I just figure that her transition to the next level is harder than mine was
I am currently a junior. I though that sophomore year was the easiest because I had classes that I really wanted to excel in. Still, the workload was pretty light. As a result, school seemed to be less of a chore. Personally, I get stressed out by classes such as art, music etc, classes that others perceive as blow offs. So, Freshman year was the harder of the two for me personally. However, junior year tops both in terms of difficulty.
Freshman year was easy, but I did poorer than in Sophomore and Junior year because after, I started to put forth more effort, and I had a better idea of what to expect out of honors and AP classes in high school.
Freshman year was easier than middle school for me, I think senior year was second easiest for me.
I found freshman year to be the easiest, but it may depend on the teachers. There were some freshman year teachers that were notorious for being difficult, but you came out stronger because of it
It was easier, but I did worse than I am in sophomore because I slacked too much
I totally agree that 8th grade, maybe even 7th grade was harder for me than 9th grade. I think that may have been because my English teacher was so good (and hard) in 7th and 8th grade but seriously 9th grade (I’m a sophmore now) seemed so easy. I would come home with nothing to do and I seriously wish that were me now. The only class that was challenging was honors biology but that was because the teacher made it more complicated than it needed to be.
Hah, I’m a freshman in all top classes (including AP Euro) and its incredibly easy - like I had homework ONCE all last week lol
It was harder than this year for me (I’m a sophomore); but that’s because I had more difficult/worse teachers (especially for English–my class is pretty easy now) and got more work. I’m probably going to get better grades this semester than I did freshman year. I took all honors last year (basically the hardest schedule a freshman could take); but nevertheless, I haven’t found either year challenging. It’s more the fact that I don’t find school challenging so I don’t try and I get B+s. Ew. And then I regret them afterwards. But yes, I probably got worse grades freshman year, although that may have been due to acclimatization.
I had a harder English teacher but an easier science teacher.
My math teachers were of equivalent difficulty.
Social science (we didn’t really have history last year) was definitely easier last year, although we got more projects. I find this year easier to BS.
Spanish was harder last year because I actually learn stuff in class this year and therefore don’t have to study for the tests; last year I learned nothing in class–there was a point second semester where I pulled low Bs and Cs on the tests before realizing I had to clean up my act and raise my grade in that class.
snowfairy137, geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz, I wasn’t in ap euro, but freshman year took all honors and had 6 hours of homework a night (excluding studying), and I was pretty good at time management too.
then again, most of my teachers were trying to prepare us for IB
It was the easiest in terms of workload. Obviously as I got older, I got more homework and the courses were more rigorous.
It was hard because I had to adjust to the stricter teachers and grading formats and had to work harder. And of course, being a freshman is scary, so that didn’t help haha
Even if it was the easiest, I would never go back…freshman year was an embarrassing nightmare
