Did you learn anything today?

I think mandarin, Korean, and Japanese sounds really soothing when it’s a girl’s voice.

Not when they speak fast, omg. However, in Japan I spoke to tons of different people and they slowed down and it was great to talk about where I’m from, why I was in Japan, what I was doing that day, etc.

July 9
駅、屋、家、帰、待
Train station, Store, House, Return, Wait

I learned the differences between evolution, natural selection, and intelligent design.

I learned a chapter of chemistry about stoichiometry.

I started a new job in retail clothing for the summer, so I’m learning something new everyday, even if its something like the difference between 14" and 17" hangers. Yep.

Today I learned about inflammation and neutrophils.

Did you know that neutrophils actually are attracted to a certain spot and ccrawl there, ‘latch on’ and move through vascular tissue? It’s pretty legit.

Today I learned about inversions in geometry. Also, the three-front battlefront problem doesn’t easily generalize to five fronts.

**
I’m gonna be honest
all of the kanji look the same

7/10
教、取、習、古、新
Teach, Take, Learn, Old, New

How about now?

I learned that you hate philosophy.

I learned that my cousin officially 3rd wheeled me at a volunteer thing Id asked her to.
I learned that that’s ok because her boyfriend has a sports car and buys ice cream.
So I learned to look for ‘silver linings’

I tried self teaching myself Japanese for about a year but stopped. I’ll take it in college.
I take Chinese right now.
And today I learned that my job is awesome. :]

Chinese looks and sounds infinitely harder than Japanese (though for some reason I’ve read that a lot think Japanese is more difficult - they cray).

I learned how different model systems can be used to test various hypotheses. I also learned that the Mitochondria does way more than metabolism- it’s a total boss.

I learned how to set up a intravenous system and how to sedate and insert catheters in animals.

I’m teaching myself computer science (not for the ap exam, just for fun) and I learned how to use the if, while, and for functions.

cool, huh? lol.

I learned that red roof tiles (mission style) have their shape because women used to make them on their thighs.

I learned…that I am scared to learn anymore. More knowledge more problems (not joking, very serious)

I’m studying for my APES entrance exam, and I’m learning how to do unit conversions. I also learned that dimensional analysis is a giant pain in the rear end.
