mine didn't ask me anything. basicly we sat down and was like, "do you have any questions about penn..."
he graduated over 10 years ago.

just got back from my interview! it was good, lasted about an hour.

we just talked about theatre/what I want to do at Penn/my future/her daughter at Stanford & theatre at Stanford/some of my other interests...

it was pretty relaxed...just basically asked me to about myself and ask questions that I had about Penn.

The only bump in the road was that I didn't go on a campus visit, but I explained my parents didnt have the money to send me.

Hi

The person himself contacted me through e-mail and we scheduled an appointment. By the way, since the alumni in pakistan is very little, this doesnt mean anything except that maybe they did not feel that they need to know anything more than what you have written in your application - maybe they were confused about mine or something.

So what do you tell them if you haven't actually visited the campus? How do you try to mitigate the situation?

well if you live nearby then theres nothing u can do :) lol .. but otherwise u can say it was expensive or something...and u can probably say that you have seeen the campus through videos n stuff

"So what do you tell them if you haven't actually visited the campus? How do you try to mitigate the situation?"

I said it was too expensive (which is true)... She it would be cheaper for me if I just go to the admit weekend.

One question that surprised me was "What has been your greatest accomplishment?" But seriously, the interview and interviewer were both great. You can only do what you can do, and quite honestly this interview has very little to do with admissions (I would imagine). The interviewers want honest answers to their questions but aren't trying to get you rejected. My interviewer began with, "This interview won't hurt you." The crazy thing is that my interviewer called planning to leave a message asking when we could have a phone interview, but since I picked up the phone we had it right then. Talk about unexpected... :-)

Don't sweat this thing.

so... had my Penn interview today. It was really short, but I think it went okay. He kept telling me to make sure I get to know all the schools before I decide on Penn. I don't know...the interview didn't help me. And does it matter if it was only like 25 minutes?

my friend told me about her's.. and she said her interviewer grilled her with questions like "what are you greatest flaws? disappointments? any regrets?" etc etc all negative stuff.. she said it was pretty harsh

my Penn interviewer didn't ask for my scores.

My interviewer asked me about my greatest regrets as well though I don't think she meant to direct the question in a negative aspect. My interviewer didn't ask me for SAT scores. She mostly just answered questions and if I had anything to add since the interview is pretty much a supplement.

mine was 25 minutes also. i felt rushed.

she asked me:
to tell her about myself
what my friends would say about me
what extracurriculars outside of school
who inspired me the most
if i had any questions about penn

and in all i incorporated my passion to study at Wharton and how i am a "great" fit. we'll see how that goes...
