didn't apply for financial aid until March 29. (Stanford)

Please let me know if anyone else has been in this situation. I've had no help with my college admissions stuff whatsoever (parents, counselors) besides the obvious stuff (put in your application on time!).

I essentially filed the Fafsa on the first day available, and messed up other financial aid stuff (especially because the CSS and private schools have their own procedures...). Princeton emailed me a while ago and asked me to finish their aid application, and I am incredibly appreciative of the 32,000 grant they gave me. I filed my CSS this week and the IDOC stuff is shipping to collegeboard. Tomorrow I am going to email the Stanford FAO. The man I called from the FAO said it would be okay, but...is it really?

I know it is ALL my fault and I feel incredibly stupid!
Please advise.

you might get a little less than what you would have gotten but then again, its stanford so if they wanted you, they are probably not going to screw you over

Are there any other people who have been in my situation?

A couple of years ago we were a little late for Y because of one form that I didn’t realize we needed to fill out. It didn’t have an impact on our FA package. You may be lucky in that like Y, S has a very large endowment and hopefully will give you the FA package that their calculations say you deserve despite being late.

I am having the exact same problem with the University of Rochester. I filed my FAFSA and completely forgot about the CSS PROFILE. I turned it in on like the 24th AFTER getting admitted to the University. Now, I have just realized that I still haven’t sent in a copy of my mom’s 2009 tax return, and I think I’m freaking out.

Whew! worked out! Stanford gave us about the same as Princeton. The waiting was eh, though Stanford has a large endowment, we were still kind of edgy! BE ON TIME everyone :]

Glad to hear it, have fun choosing where to matriculate!
