Didnt apply to honors college, regretting it

I sent in my application late september maybe the first week of october but my transcripts just reached last week. I didnt apply to the honors college because I didnt believe I could get in. My application is still under review. Do you think it is possible to e-mail the admissions office and ask if I could still apply to the honors college? Also do you think my stats are even close to what they expect? (Im out of state) 4.0 weighted GPA 13 honors classes 3 AP over 170 service hours. horrible SAT score and a 25 ACT (im a bad tester) I am also a scholar in my highschool. Thankyou in advance!

Below is part of an email I received so you have until November 30th for priority - so do it so you don't regret it.

This message is a reminder that the priority deadline for completing and submitting the SHC application is November 30. If you do intend to complete and submit the SHC application, note that your teachers and counselor can start their part of the process once you submit their names and email addresses in the SHC application—you don’t have to submit the completed application to give them access to our recommendation forms.

Your Penn State application will be reviewed on the same timeline, and with the same criteria, whether or not you apply to the Schreyer Honors College

Do it! You still have a few weeks. It's definitely worth a shot so buckle down, write some essays, get some teacher recs, and don't make it a regret!

my teachers have written and sent recomendations to Penn state already for the regular application. Could they just copy and paste the already written recomendation when they get the e-mail from the honors college or would it be specific questions ect.?

rengb6 - I have the same question concerning recommendations.

Penn State most likely will not consider letters of rec for regular admission due to the high volume of applicants they receive.

From what I heard when I was applying last year, the email letter of rec is pretty straight foward and my teachers/counselors were able to copy and paste segments out of scholarship lettters of rec for me directly into the shc form.
