Didn't Get Accepted Anywhere!!!!

<p>My friend did not get accepted to a single college. period. I've been accepted to plan II honors and college of communications at UT. Im from New York (so is my friend). My friend is not a great student, but hes got SATs somewhere in 1100's (out of 1600) and an unweighted GPA of 3.0. He wanted to go to the college of communications at UT for the film major. Are there any other lesser known schools in austin with film programs that he could apply to next semester? Community college is out of the question, cuz he already has an associates in arts degree from Bard college (he goes to a weird high school where the last 2 years are college credit classes and he will graduate with both a high school diploma and a 2 year college degree). </p>

<p>This is a link to the course offerings in the mass comm dept of Texas State which is ~45 miles away from Austin. Maybe he could take a few courses here and then try UT again?</p>

<p>they have a shuttle from Austin to Texas State</p>

<p>there is also St. Edwards and Concordia Lutheran, but I do not know what type of couses might work for him there.</p>

<p>yea...St Ewards and Concordia Lutheran are in Austin but I dont think that would be the best place to go for film....i agree with SATDudesMama about Texas State....it actually has mass comm majors unlike the other two...and it would be much easier to transfer into UT</p>

<p>i was about to suggest Austin Community College....but if thats out of the question then i guess not....</p>
