Hey so I recently got into UConn, but I put my first choice major as nursing. I didn't get into the nursing program, but got into biological sciences at Storrs. I'm really happy I got in because UConn is one of my top choices, but i really wanted to do nursing. What are my chances of trying to transfer into the nursing program after the first year? Or can I try switching in before the semester starts? I really want to do nursing, and I don't want to go the doctor route anymore lol. So would I be transfer into the nursing program before the semester starts if I call and try to appeal? Or would I have to wait after a year?

Did you get the dicision for RD or EA? Have any other RD applicants heard from UConn?

I did regular decision, but they received all my stuff/application on December 23.

I know the nursing school at UConn is very competitve, so you can try applying after your first semester just make sure you are on track and taking the required courses for nursing. The nursing schools is very competitve because of its small size so make sure you get as high a gpa as possible after your first semester because there will be few spaces. When you go to orientation in the summer make sure to let your counselor know that you are interested. Im actually not sure if you even get accepted right off into the nursing school because i feel like the ACEs program has a pre nursing track.
