<p>So I went to an interview for an internship. They told me they will call me by today Friday with a yes or a no. The lady clearly stated that they will call even if the answer is no anyway so I can know. I haven't heard anything from them =/
Is this a bad sign? Please be honest in your responses. </p>

<p>I had an interview where I specifically asked if I would be notified either way, and they told me yes. I never heard from them again.</p>
<p>IMO, you can send an email on Monday to check on your status… make sure you are polite, professional, etc. It’s possible they already made their decision and haven’t notified people yet. It’s possible they only notified the “yes” people. It’s also possible they haven’t made their decisions because something came up that they had to attend to.</p>
<p>There are three things that might have happened. First, they might not have made a decision (maybe he hiring manager called in sick the last few days). Second, they might have made a decision and no one wanted to make the unpleasant call. Third, they might have offered the job to someone else and you’re their backup plan. They’re waiting for the other person’s response before letting you know.</p>
