<p>What all can they see, I wonder? Implications--put all colleges you might possibly consider on the Dashboard, to show interest. What else?</p>
<p>They can only see that you added them, nothing else. I don’t see how that changes things- you’ll have to add all your schools anyways to submit the application.</p>
<p>Somewhere in the Common App process you are specifically asked whether schools you have added may contact you before you submit your application. I’ve always taken this as one more way to demonstrate interest, so no reason not to say yes. </p>
