Hello,
I took the subject tests in Novemeber for Math 2 and Chem. I know I did terrible in Math 2 and didn't want to hurt my chances so I decided not to rish it in as I would have to rush both scores in if I chose too. I plan on sending my chem score in along another previous SAT subject tests that went well on the same say I get my scores back. Will I get my scores in to them in time for their decision on me? I know UChicago accepts electronic transfer of scores. does this mean they will receive my scores instantly?

No electronic transfer even takes at least a week. The best thing you can do is call the university and ask.

Chicago doesn’t require SAT IIs.

Best thing to do is wait to see what they want you to do tomorrow. Hopefully they’ll allow us to screenshot scores because they still haven’t received mine and many others’ scores.

That’s weird, because I sent mine (normally) on the 16th and they received them by the 19th.

spratleyj… the scores came out on the 23rd though.

Rushing scores prevents the college from getting an electronic copy of your scores and can actually slow down the process.

If you took the November test, they should have received your scores by now.

glassesarechic^, are you sure of that? how do you know? if the school accepts electronically, then aren’t the rushed scores also sent electronically? and i think the OP meant that he/she didn’t use the free report but waited to see their scores and wants to send the score now.

No, “rushed” scores are not simply expedited electronic transmissions. They are sent via the postal system.

“Rush” process: Demand to send → Scores printed → Enveloped and sent to post office → Delivery → (Delay) → Arrival at college → Distributed to admissions office → Barcode on paper scanned (when someone gets to the task) → Uploaded into database

Normal process: Demand to send → (Delay) → University database
