I took the SAT in March and I never sent the scores. I retook one in November (scores didn’t come out yet), and I didn’t send the scores either. I have no idea why I didn’t send any of my scores to UC & CSU. I have 4 fee waivers. Do I wait for the November scores to come out, and then send both March & November (I’m assuming 1 fee waiver covers 1 transaction of both March & November), or will it be too late? Or do I send the March one right now?
UC’s and CSU’s will accept the Nov SAT sitting so wait until all scores are in before sending. You only have to send to one CSU and one UC since they will be shared by all campuses.
Actually for the CSU’s you should send the scores to the CSU Mentor, which has its own SAT number ands all CSU’s will then have it. Moreover, most of the CSU’s and all of the UCs even accept the December test scores.
You can easily wait to send scores when the Nov scores come out and thus use only two fee waivers to send both the November and March scores to the CSU Mentor and to one of the UCs
Concur that you can send SAT score to CSU Mentor ^^^.
Your score report should include both your March and November SAT scores, when they come out, unless you do score choice. So you request score report to be sent and it should include all previous scores.
The UC does not accept score choice.
I think you can designate score recipients for both November and March tests now unless you plan to retake in December. When November test result is out they will send all of them. I am not sure that will work with fee waiver.
You cannot designate any Nov test recipients now because you are in College Board’s hiatus period. You have until the ninth day after the test to designate colleges in your test registration to automatically receive scores upon release (your free sends). From the 10th day after the test until the date the scores are released, you can do noting to order the Nov scores sent. Then on the day they are released you can order the scores sent (along with any prior scores) for a fee or use of a fee waiver.
Also, as to whether the UCs actually accept score choice, it appears it may no longer be true that the UC’s require all SAT scores since it has been telling applicants who call that they can submit just that test with the highest composite… See discusion of the issue here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1935358-sat-act-scores.html#latest
The ACT is different, each score has to be sent separately I believe.
There have been several other posters than have contacted admission offices at UC’s other than UCLA (link from post #6- refers specially to UCLA) that have stated they wanted all test scores, not just the highest. Until there is a consensus for all the UC’s, I would rather error in the side of caution and send all SAT or all ACT scores. Since Subject test scores are not required, you can use score choice for these scores if you want to send. Both son’s reported all ACT scores and their subject test scores only with no issues.
Here is what College Board says about sending scores after the test day:
