Didn't upload resume to Additional Information section... is that bad? What do I do?

So long story short I applied Early Action to a school and can't change my Common App now, but I wasn't aware that the Additional Info section was what was used to attach a resume (I always assumed it was sent in like separately like a transcript). Is it bad that I haven't attached any resume, even though I think my activities and honors are more or less going to be a repeat of what I've already written on the app? It would include but a few more specific details. I heard it would be more "professional", so I'm really stuck on what to do! Help?

Call the admissions office of the college and ask them. They **may **let you email it to them to be included in your file.

“Is it bad that I haven’t attached any resume, even though I think my activities and honors are more or less going to be a repeat of what I’ve already written on the app?”

Yes it’s bad. It’s a waste of your time and of the admission officer’s time. Most people don’t send resumes precisely because it’s unnecessary and repetitive.

I should have said ‘Yes it’s bad to send a resume.’

I disagree. The commonapp (unless they improved it in the last 2 years) has a crappy format for listing EC’s that cuts off the names and descriptions and doesn’t have enough categories to adequately represent some items.
A resume is more complete and accurate.

The adcom can decide to skim through the resume or ignore it altogether if the app has the EC’s listed on it. The adcom can choose how to handle duplicate info.

I don’t think it’s a big deal unless they require it. I think you can always fax it to your school also.
