On the March SAT, an answer was 10/3, so I put "3.33". Now, this didn't use all the boxes so...is it wrong?

There are 4 boxes, so 3.33 should be fine.
You could have bubbled in 10/3, though.

I think it's wrong. If a decimal is repeating you are supposed to use all of the boxes and either truncate it or round it. By only using three of the boxes, the answer you put is = to 3.330, but putting 3.333 shows that it's repeating.

I know its stupid, but I'm just telling you how I think they'll score it. Good luck though.

the decimal takes up a box.

| 3 | . | 3 | 3 |

4 boxes

Haha, I guess he did use all the boxes then? No worries then! My bad.

Oh, right...the decimal does take up a box. Yes!

Thanks, guys!
