Didn't write the cheating statement in cursive.

At the beginning of the SAT you are supposed to write a statement that says like "i won't cheat, etc etc" and then sign your signature. The problem is I didn't write in cursive, I wrote in something super messy, and then for my signature, it was basically illegible and was as scribble. On an SAT 2 I took a few months ago, I wrote my signature and the statement very neatly. What is the chance that my PSAT score gets canceled because of this? Thanks..

i highly doubt anything will happen… most of it is meant to threaten you. i didn’t even finish writing my statement last year and i got my scores back, if that makes you feel any better.

Pretty sure it’s a formality, and a kind of silly one at that. Why they make you re-write it (and in cursive, at that) is beyond me. “Read it and sign it” makes way more sense to me.

I think the point of writing the statement is to make SURE you read it. Kind of like the Terms of Service on this website - sometimes a member will protest an infraction, saying, “Nobody actually READS the rules!” even though people agree to follow them when they sign up for CC.

At least the statement isn’t as long as they make you read for websites and software. You’d spend 3 days writing the thing out if that were the case, 5 if you are like most students and have completely forgotten how to write in cursive.
