didn't yet receive letter = bad sign?

International… still haven’t received anything either… Can someone shed light as to which postal service they used for internationals?

I didn’t get mine. Either the post office in Miami is crazy or they send rejection letter later than acceptance!!

jasmine – hope this offers you some consolation – mine came today and they accepted me! woop  GOOD LUCK! keep me posted!

Ok,I guess I have to be really patient^_^

Lorlor, what type of mail was it? priority? Fed-Ex?

just regular mail. :)

lorlor, that’s for domestic students, not for International

^ ohhh, right. my bad. i’m from new york. important distinction to make, haha

If I don’t receive a letter by today, I will assume I’m rejected.

no…all decisions were mailed at the same time, whether accepted/rejected/waitlisted. i am 99% sure this is true. why would they mail the rejections later? it wouldn’t make sense. plus, i got my acceptance after some international people got theirs, so clearly the date of receipt does not correlate with acceptance/rejection.

I asked this on facebook group and yeah all letters were mailed at same time and all the same type of mail.

Yeah, I keep hearing that even international decisions were mailed via USPS (can any of those who already got theirs confirm this?), so it can take a while.

USPS?? perhaps you mean UPS?

congrats to those who got in and good luck to those who are still waiting.
But BE AWARE! Minnesota’s outrageously cold! :D

No, I mean US postal service, which is surprising.

Taking decades…

Alright you guys, so, it breaks down like so:

International accepts through fed-ex. International waitlists/rejects through airmail (I believe). They were NOT all mailed on the same day, but all have been sent and went out around the same time.

All domestic decisions were mailed through regular mail. They all went out on the same day.

That’s what I thought, but turns out it’s not the case :

[Carleton College | Facebook](<a href=“Carleton College | Northfield MN”>Carleton College | Northfield MN) – one international student confirming in comments that he got his decisions through USPS.

[Carleton College | Facebook](<a href=“Carleton College | Northfield MN”>Carleton College | Northfield MN) Carleton College representative attesting that international decisions were mailed through ‘not express mail.’

I personally think it is absolutely ridiculous for a college to send out international mails NOT with Fed-Ex. I mean, if you are not going to post decisions online, at least have some respect towards those who are anxiously waiting and use the fastest route to deliver the message.

FedEx for sure. Someone just received it.

Fedex. I think the facebook answer was geared for domestics. I was confused as well as I was actually the OP ‘obsessing’ over the letter.

Got a call from Fedex this afternoon, should be getting my letter tonight… Nervous!
