"Die and save oxygen.." hahaha..ok that has nothing to do with what i have to say..

I'm currently a sophmore, and I want some advice and opinions. I'm particilarly worried about my poor grades in my freshman year. I took two math classes, it butchered my grades. I even got a C!!!!!!!!! So sad....

9th grade(all honors)-Geometry, algebra 2, spanish 2, english, band, lifetime wellness, and biology

I'm currently in the following classes(all honors)-European History AP, Anatomy&Physiology, pre-calculus, Wind Ensemble, Chemistry, English 2, Spanish 3

I was wondering if I worked really hard for high A's throughout the rest of my high school life, if I still have a chance at some good colleges.

*If you will, can you please tell me if the following will help get into college in any way?- I've been first chair for clarinet forever. I've had numerous awards and recognitions because of clarinet playing. I also got a scholarship at Blair school of music of Vanderbilt to take lesons there.

Thanks for helping me!!!! : )

My advice would be to stick with your ECs - especially clarinet. And relax. Many colleges are forgiving about freshman year. Just keep on truckin'. A lot of "good" colleges will be happy to take you in the end.

Is there any chance I'll be able to make it in one of the top 15 colleges? any hope?

Well, I'm ever the optimist, so I say sure...so long as you perform well enough in your next three years of high school.

Yea, you should be able to get in. It'll help also help a lot if you do good in your ECs, along with getting good grades.

Well, I'm the ultimate worrier!! ha. I'm born in the second baby boomer generation so when I graduate, there will be a lot of competition.
