Have great rec letters- including one from a USC professor (viterbi professor, i'm applying to college of LAS)

I have an off-campus interview scheduled for next weekend!

Any answers would be great!

I think you have a great shot of getting into USC. For scholarship consideration though, I don’t really see anything that really makes you stand out though. Many of the students who do get the Trustee and Presidential scholarships have something special about them, whether it’s amazing stats or something in their ECs.

vonn,
If you are admitted do apply for financial aid. Your parents will find all the aid is not loans. If your parents have suffered from the financial downturn the aid will be a combination of work study, state or federal grants and possibly some low interest loans. Obviously, I do not have any knowledge of your parents’ financial situation.

Check out almamemom’s helpful and informative threads on financial aid.

Well, i’ve been working with the domestic violence agency since age 13, and i’ve since produced all of their promotional media, and spoken at different events about the issue, and advocated the fight against it. additionally, I have international experience- i lived in india for a year, and this was the basis for my essay.

i’m also a national merit commended scholar, an AP scholar, principal’s honor roll member for 4 years, national honor society and California scholarship federation member. (if that makes a difference)

bump bump bump bumpp

Looks like its a match for you!

Don’t apply. Going to school isn’t worth dying over.

I also think you are a match. Good luck with a suitable FA package.

hha hawkwings i like the way you think. but it was an over exaggeration. clearly.

jshain and rosy hours thank you!

any other tips would be much appreciated!
