Dietary Supplements?

What's the Academy's policy on this? I've started taking an energy/dietary pill to help give me an extra boost towards the end of the day. I've noticed I've been seriously dragging the past few weeks. I only use it on my particularly long days, ie...0530 wake up and last lab ends at 2130.

Do any mids at the Academy use anything, or is it contraband or against regs to use?

umm well the ncaa and naaa have about a bajillion rules about it if you are a varsity athlete, and you'll be taking random urinalyses (sp? lol) all year long. 'nothing says good morning naval academy like a **** test!' anyways, there are lots of guidelines and restrictions, i'd check the navy sports list:

basically, don't take anything unless you take the supplement to somebody and get it approved.

After reviewing the list, it looks like it is ok to take creatine, protein, No2. Correct me if I'm wrong. On another link, I was told that the midshipmen couldn't take any dietary supplements. Which is correct?

I don't plan on playing a varsity sport, and I already deal with random urine tests through ROTC (it's always fun peeing into a cup with Chief looking over your shoulder).

Stuff i'm taking is called Full Force Performance Suppliment.

As a B & G I would say that you shouldn't depend on a supplement. For one thing the rules for bringing prescription medications to the Academy are very specific...that includes over the counter medicines/vitamins/supplements. Please read over your acceptance packet VERY closely for the specifics.
My advice is to eat healthy, hydrate yourself and drink lots of water (lay off the caffeine) and get a good night's sleep.

"get a good night's sleep"

that's one thing i've found damn near impossible, even when I do a lot of work during the day. I always go to bed around 12 or 1 AM and wake up around 0530-0630, depending on the day. Amazingly, I've been in Seattle (coffee capital of the US) for nearly 6 months and not had a single sip of coffee...even during finals week.

my bro told me some of the stuff that they dont sell in the mid store will show up in a urine test...so be careful

i could ask him wut the academy allows and stuff tho

no ephedra and <20% caffiene that is the navy drug policy
