Difference Between an A and an A-?

I know that Stanford uses your unweighted high school GPA for admissions, and I was wondering whether there is a difference between an A and an A- in a class. Any thoughts?

yes. a is 4.0, a- is 3.7.

Speaking of unweighted GPAs, does anyone know how they would calculate GPA for a full IB diploma candidate, taking only IB courses, whose school doesn't give GPA? (me, in case you're wondering)

Oh no! I didn't know there was a difference!

nononononoooo.. wait... I thought that stanford recalculates your GPA, disregarding freshman year....?! Is there a difference between an A and an A+?

Pretty sure it goes A=4 B=3, etc. disregarding -'s and +'s

For your high school GPA A=A-=A+=4.0

Once you are at Stanford, for your Stanford GPA A=4.0, A-=3.7, A+=4.3

hm. that makes more sense!!
