I'm a high school Senior highly considering one of these combined medical degree programs.

Most of the combined programs I look at, however, give you a B.A degree and then an M.D degree. I've always thought that the B.S was preferable for Medical School.

What are the pros and cons for B.A vs. B.S? Will I get a job easier with a B.S? and how are these programs better than the regular undergraduate/medical school track.

By name, B.A. is Bachelors is Arts and B.S. is Bachelors in Science. In reality, it doesn't really matter which one you do. I'm not sure why colleges name their programs in that way but as far as I can see it doesnt make a difference. You can usually do whatever degree you want unless the program specifcially restricts the major you can chose and as long as you do all pre-med requirements. When you get a job, your undergrad degree will not matter.

To add on to what foodisgood said, when completing a BA degree, you will need to take more liberal arts courses than with a BS degree, while a BS degree is narrower, and more mathematics/science focused.
