Hey guys, I just GRADUATED from HS… would yall make a list for me that lists

The things that I will probably never have to do again in college (that i did in high school)

Things that wont change from hs to college

New things I should expect for the first time in college

a) explaining to my parents where I am going or what I am doing - at least during the school year when I'm not living with them.
b) having my parents call me in sick to school
c) Gossip about who is taking who to the next school dance
d) Gossip about who went out with who
e) Worrying about 'being cool' and the latest fads

1:
Dealing with the principal or dean for some minor infraction like swearing.
Having the decision to attend class made for you.
Detention.
Tardies.
Lockers.
P.E. Class (for most schools.)

In college you can get up and leave class whenever the F you wanna without asking/telling/relaying anything to anyone, and then wander on back if you'd like, too!

neverborn, Gym is a great class, u must not be makin friends in Gym, cause it's a fun class b/c:

You get to play sports(me liking sports, it's fun for me)

You get to meet new people(if you go to a huge school like me) and become friends with people.

You don't gotta learn anything

If you're too lazy to do some kind of physical activity, then you got issues.

Sports suck.

I can meet new people other places.

I enjoy learning - I'm transferring to UChicago.

I got issues. Actually, I have no problem going to the gym in my own time, I just don't want to have a class based around it. Especially a swimming class.

sports doesn't = exercise, and exercise doesn't = sports... some people like sports, some don't, but it is a damn fact that ALL people NEED exercise.... ESPECIALLY OBESE AMERICA. Exercise is a vital part of life, and those who don't do it, better not complain or blame anybody else for their fat asses.

liking sports and not liking sports is irrelevant in regards to whether or not gym should be required

if you need gym class to make friends, THEN you got issues

I like learning as well, I'm transferring to Harvard, and I'm not quite sure why you would attend college if you didn't like learning...

I think the idea of required gym class in college is a joke and I run at least four miles a day and do yoga and pilates.

and you somehow inferred that neverborn doesn't exercize because he said, "Actually, I have no problem going to the gym in my own time, I just don't want to have a class based around it"?
Eesh, no wonder you don't like real classes.

Don't give me that bullcrap about liking learning. You go to college to find a career path for yourself. Don't give me this bs that you want to learn and you love school and school is your damn life.

2nd, you can make friends in gym you wouldn't have had regardless BECAUSE MORONS: MOST OTHER CLASSES YOU'RE IN, YEA, YOU CAN MAKE FRIENDS, BUT RARELY DO YOU GET A CHANCE TO GET TO KNOW THEM CAUSE YOU'RE BUSY LEARNING.

IN GYM, YOU'RE PLAYIN SPORTS WITH PEOPLE WHO GOT THE SAME INTERESTS AS YOU, YOU OBTAIN FRIENDSHIPS THIS WAY.

YOU CAN OBTAIN FRIENDSHIPS ANY WHICH WAY YOU WANT, GYM IS A WAY TO DO IT BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE IN GYM B/C THEY HAVE A SHARED INTEREST IN PLAYIN SPORTS OR EXERCISING.

Like it or not, it is a way to find friends, JUST LIKE GOING TO BARS AND NIGHTCLUBS AND FINDING FRIENDS.

Hey I love learning. I take classes that aren't required just becase they sound interesting. Such as Human Sexuality that I'm taking online right now ;)
