What is the difference between a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree? I've seen some schools that offer a BA in Computer Science and then I've seen a lot that offer a BS in Computer Science. Do employers prefer one over the other?

If its between schools ie UCSD and Harvard, then it doesn’t matter because most schools only offer one degree in CS either a BA or a BS.

However at some schools, the different schools within the wider university offer different degrees in CS. For example Tufts offers a BA in CS from CAS or a BS in CS from the school of engineering. In these cases, if you really want to have a job in CS and not as much of a liberal arts type education, go for the BS because its more scientifically rigorous and employers know that.
