I plan on applying to Carnegie Mellon as a Economics major, but whenever I look up the Econ major I get results on Google that indicate that it is both part of Tepper and H&SS. Which one is it and if it is both what are the differences?

Why are you in google?

Go to the school’s homepage and then look at the degree program directly.

Is an economics degree from H&SS still marketable for job placement vs. Tepper?

Yes. Tepper has more specification tracks but it’s not uncommon for Tepper and Econ kids to compete for job placement, especially at the Business Opportunies Conference held for employment each year.
