<p>What would be the differences between IGETC and UCSB's general Ed if any like would IGETC have more classes that are unnecessary or would it be the other way around or what? </p>

The UCSB GEs require at least 14 classes while IGETC requires at least 11. The main difference is in the number of English classes, you don’t need to take literature for IGETC.</p>
<p>Definitely take the IGETC path. It’ll ensure you have more freedom if you decide to change your target school.</p>
