What is the difference between the two?

My community college offers an A.S. degree in Information Science, and an A.A.S degree in Information Technology. The CC also offers certificates in Information Security, Network Systems Administration, and Database Systems Management, which can be applied toward the IT degree. I do not know if they can be applied to the InfoScience degree though.

After CC, and after I earn my Associates, I plan to transfer to a university and get my Bachelors in Information Technology/Information Systems.

Most universities I am looking at have IT as a major, but they want the math requirements of the Information Science Associates Degree.

So should I just get the degree in Information Science, or Information Technology?
