Difference between intramural and intercollegiate sports?

So I was looking at Cornell's athletic offerings, and for some sports it said there were three different teams: NCAA Div. 1, intercollegiate, and intramural. I know that the NCAA one is like the official, "main" one for which you are recruited and everything but what is the difference between intercollegiate and intramural? Thanks!

At most schools there are three levels of college sports, D I/II/III, club, and intramural.

D I/II/III - Highest level at school. Nearly the entire team is recruited one way or another, you probably know about this level.

Club - Essentially a travel team. You likely play other schools in your area, practice several times a week, and it’s fairly competitive. Often you have to try out to make the team.

Intramural - Few practices, games not too often either, mostly for fun. Little to no skill necessary for this. You only play other teams from within your school.
