<p>What’s the difference between international relations and international studies? I planned on majoring in IR, but Huntsman is IS. I just know I wanna do something with interaction, not just studying a culture, but actually talking to people and BEING in the country. Any help?</p>
<p>International Studies is more based around a country. My Huntsman friends have only taken a few IR-type courses, and then concentrate in their target. So politics, literature, and culture of a particular country/language area. </p>
<p>But from what you said, it seems like Huntsman might be your bag, since you have to study abroad. Huntsmanites are also a tightknit group, for better or worse.</p>
