<p>At my school, they changed the name of Precalculus to Pre-AP Calculus. Precalculus has always been a preparatory class for AP Calculus. Is one more difficult than the other?</p>

<p>the College Board people have come out with standardized "pre-AP" curricula. That's probably what your school is switching to. How it differs from the previous precal course is going to depend on your school. Ask someone at your school who should know, like your counselor or the teacher.</p>
<p>It's probably the same thing. They just changed the name. And unless any of us go to your school, none of us could possibly know the difficulty of any classes at your school.</p>
