Difference between Rutgers NB and Newark

Hi. I am currently a senior in high school, planning to go Rutgers Business School of Newark.

I didn't even apply to NB because my grades were not very high for it, and I am going to commute from far distance so I chose Newark. I didn't want to waste an hour going to NB everyday.

I know that NB is the main campus and has better reputation than Newark and I have some questions about it.

Is there a big difference between learning business in Newark and NB? Do employers see what campus you got your degree in? I heard the degree is same once you graduate.

I might transfer from Newark to NB after one year. Is it competitive? Do I lose some credits? Do I pay more tuition? Is there other cons of school to school transfer?

What are the specific requirements on transferring? I couldn't find it on Rutgers website.

Education is virtually the same. There are profs who have classes on both campuses. You get the same degree. Also, the Newark and NB campuses are considered the same school “Rutgers Business School Newark and New Brunswick”.

Not a huge financial or educational implication. If you want the more traditional college experience and especially if you want to live on campus, NB would be nicer for dorming. If you commute, maybe slight edge to Newark because its smaller and easier to navigate (plus in your case it is closer any way). Also some business courses don’t transfer between campuses (even though the same class might literally be taught by the same prof, with the same book, teaching the same material in both locations. True story. Just bureaucracy for no reason.) So once you start on a campus, its generally better to stay unless you really need to transfer.

A school to school transfer, I think. I’ve never done it so can’t help there.
