If I take some sort of prep class outside for AP Chem and pass the exam without actually taking the class in high school, I get college credits for it, but it doesn't show on my transcript. Will colleges know that I have taken these APs outside of school and will they consider my schedule more "rigorous"?

Any advice?

AP score report.

But colleges don’t even care about that.^^ Or do they?

Never heard of outside classes. In my opinion you’d be really uncomfortable, either too hot or too cold. It would be difficult to do any work if it rains or snows. It would also be inconvenient to bring power out for smartboards and televisions. Basically, it seems to be more trouble than it’s worth.

You don’t need to take the course to get the credit. The credit is determined by your score on the exam. You should send colleges a copy of your score report–just like the ACT/SAT reports–so they can see you got a 4 or a 5 or whatever, and then they’ll grant you however many credits they allow.
