Difference From graduating from UC vs CSU

I would like to know the major difference between receiving bachelors from either one before i receive my college acceptances.

None. Depends on what industry. If you want to work in finance or another employer that values prestige a UC. If you want to do research in school, a UC.

If you just want to go to school and get a job… Cal state.

What is your major?

What if you want to go to a T14 law school? Would a UC be worth it?

For a T14 law school, get the highest possible LSAT score and highest possible GPA.

Well, UC has more prestige so attending a UC over a CSU will always look better in a resume.

nope !

I heard to get degrees from CSU, you need to pass a written test. If u failed, retake it until you pass it, to take the test you need to pay money.

I’m interested in going into finance / econ. Maybe even Law.

Finance and Econ then go to UC/USC, alot more connections/networks reside in those schools over the CSU’s.

Keep in mind cost and what else you could be doing aside from school .

I’m stuck at UCR right now, but if I picked CSULB ( also accepted to) I would of had the option of working full time if I good job came along .

CSU- For working students, less of a campus life, cheaper , which is important since many students need an extra year. Lower graduation rates.

UC- A full college experience , costly, UCLA and Cal world renown . Higher graduation rates, must go full time .

Like I wish I went to a CSU since life happens and now I have to struggle to move and find a job at the same time . Had I went to a CSU I could of kept my full time job and my apartment .

But for traditional students the UC’s are a good bet .

Also if you want to go to a T14 law school, undergrad and major don’t matter. So you can get a degree from a Cal State for cheaper before you rack up 3 years of law school debt.

But for finance/econ its generally regarded as get into the best school you can. You want to go to a school that brings the companies you are interested in to campus job fairs.
