Difference in CS and IT?

Is there a huge difference between Computer Science, Information Technologies, and Information Science?

CS is generally theory and practice in programming and software engineering. IT is generally using applications and tools. IS is generally business-oriented though it may also involve programming. There is an IEEE document that describes these areas in considerable detail and you might find it interesting to go through the document.

oh okay thank you very much. where can i find the article?

Sorry, it was the ACM, not IEEE.

That’s a great read, BCEagle91. What a good answer to the OP’s question.
