Difference in CS vs CIS

What is the difference in the 2 majors? CIS is easier to get into, can someone do CIS major with a minor in SE?

CMU CS major: Computer Science Program < Carnegie Mellon University

CMU IS major: The Major in Information Systems < Carnegie Mellon University

Generally, at most colleges, CS or CIS (where S = Science) is more focused on design and development of computers and software, while IS or CIS (where S = Systems) is more focused on management of computers and software.
