Difference in selectivity for engineering and lsa?

Can anyone tell me the difference? Which is harder? And how hard is it usually to transfer from lsa to engineering or vice versa? I've been thinking about getting into business but don't know whether to apply to Ross from Engineering or LSA because engineering is also something I want to get into as well...

Apply to whichever school interests you the most.

Engineering has a higher acceptance rate, but that's because the applicant pool is more self-selective. It's harder to gain admission to Engineering because you're up against a stronger group.

I'm not sure how hard it is to transfer between LSA and Engineering (and vice versa). From your post, it sounds like you're almost planning on applying to the less-selective school and then transferring your way up. Don't do that. Apply to the school you want to attend.

It doesn't make a difference if you apply to Ross from Engineering or LSA, as long as you've complete the prerequisites.

Based on your post, it sounds like you should apply to Engineering with a pre-admit application to Ross.

Not easy to compare. Engineering has slightly higher standards but LSA accepts a lower percentage of applicants. Apply to the college you want to attend. Transfering from Engineering to LSA is pretty automatic. Transfering from LSA to Engineering is easy, if you prove you can handle the course load (i.e., average over a 3.3 in Math and Science subjects while in LSA).

I think I'm just leaning towards the LSA because the engineering is more of a recent idea that I've considered. However, if I do choose to transfer, is the fastest I can do that like after the first semester?
