I'm graduating this year from HS, and I have a few questions about transferring with AP credits. Suppose that I get a 5 on my Calculus AB exam, and get the college credit for the class I am skipping. Now, in the 4 semesters that I plan on attending my local community college, let's assume that I would take 4 math courses, one for each semester, and let's also assume that each progressive math course is harder than the previous one (Calc III harder than Calc II, for example.) Now, I'm told that the credit I get from the AP exam wouldn't affect my transferring GPA, so thus the only thing I being excluded from is the cost of the class and the time it would take.

My question is, would the colleges see it as underhanded to take Calc I to bolster my GPA with an easy A? Or would they see that if I took Calc II first, I was trying for the harder class right off the bat and give me a little bit more leeway when colleges are looking at my transfer transcript.
