differences between a 2250 and a 2300?

although it seems there isnt much difference between scores >760 and 800 on the SAT Subject Tests, i was curious if any one can offer their views on the difference between a scores in the 2200s (more specifically, >2250) and the lower end of the 2300s. is the difference once one crosses 2300 significant? how do the colleges see this?

i got 2250, and i am considering taking it again in the future

wut r u doing to urself just stop, other things will set u apart from other applicants not 50 pts higher on sat. its basically same thing 2200+ is good for any college

if you think you can do better retake

2300
- 2250
50

50

Well... I've seen people on CC that really put emphasis on the 2300 barrier, so if you have the chance and you think you can do better, retake.

Also, are you thinking of applying to HSPY and etc? Because I haven't seen too many people get into Stanford (that's the one I looked at the most) that didn't get a mid 2300. So, if you are aiming for those schools, try a for a mid 2300 if you think you can do it :)

haha i think it just looks nicer...maybe adcoms might feel the same way, or thye might not care at all. who knows

It also depends on if you need to improve one section.
In theory, you could have gotten two 800s and a 650, in which case you may want to retake to improve that 650.

I wouldn't retake.

I know plenty of people in the high 2200 range who beat people in the low 2300 range.

Once you get to that point, focus more on extra curriculars and essays.
