Hey guys! I just applied to two of the Claremont Schools (Pomona and Pitzer, both as huge stretch schools). I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of distinguishing factors for each of the schools. I want to pursue international relations/studies and hopefully attend law school. Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

I could be wrong but when my daughter attended the Admitted Students Day for Pitzer it seemed pretty clear that crossover classes were the norm. She was interested in Ceramics at Pitzer but because Scripps had just received a huge donation to build their Ceramics program, Pitzer was closing down their shop and all Ceramics was to be taken at Scripps. Her Creative Writing interests were with prose but at Pitzer the professor worked in poetry so she needed to speak with the cw prof at Pomona. My point is that you should look at the programs in each school and determine which seems to have more of what you’re looking for.

Socially I will say that Pitzer is considered a little more creative and “weird” than Pomona.
