<p>The SAT and ACT are very different tests and test different things. That said, preparing for them will be only slightly different. The SAT tests more your ability to reason through a question and avoid careless errors (they try to trick you in every way possible). The ACT is a more straightforward test of your knowledge about math and english (the science section is basically logic).</p>
<p>I would recommend buying a test prep book for each.</p>
