Differences between Vassar, Colgate, Hamilton

Would you explain that statement?

I think if you put students from Vassar and Colgate together a lot of them would loathe each other. The Hamilton kids could mediate (while spending quite a bit more time with Colgate).

But I could be all wrong.

If I recall correctly from the information session, 25% of Colgate’s student body play varsity sports. They have sports teams that play in Division 1. They also have over 30% joining fraternities.

“Colgate (which is in the village of Hamilton) is very isolated.”

Seeing how we got lost, traveling for miles on small country roads, trying to get there, that’s how it felt to us. The actual school address isn’t even recognized by a GPS. The town is very small, a few blocks it seemed. Population 3,500.

Poughkeepsie population 29,900.
Clinton population 1,952.

Colgate has more in common with its Patriot League rivals Holy Cross and Bucknell than Hamilton or Vassar.
