Different Dorms

My son actually likes living in the Towers because it's very convenient to everything. Do the Sutherland and Pennsylvania dorms up on the hill seem really far from things? Do any sophomores stay in the Towers? His classes are mostly in the Benedum to the Cathedral area.

I found Sutherland very out of the way and moved out after a month my freshman year...perspective on it may change after the first year though...

The only Towers dorm students stay in after freshman year (RAs excluded) is Tower C, the one with only singles...

I lived in Lothrop my soph year and really enjoyed it, my classes were generally in the same area as your son's...Lothrop is pretty much at the same elevation as Benedum, so no going up the hill for class...but you do have to go a bit out of the way to get to any dining halls (think that's changed though since the Pete has a cafeteria now...). Lothrop is only singles as well btw.

Most sophs live in the quad with suitemates from their freshman friends though...

How are the quad suites arranged? How many students do they hold and what kind of rooms are in them (kitchen? common area?) And of major importance, are they air conditioned? If not, can the students bring a window air conditioner? It is really a super convenient area! Thanks...
