Different Grad Program Than Undergrad?

Hello, I am heading into my final two undergraduate semesters starting in the fall in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. I have been looking over Masters programs and have become very interested in Environmental Engineering Masters programs (specifically the one at VT but others as well). I have taken all basic engineering class (chem, physics, statics, math courses, etc.) and also some intro environmental-type classes such as Intro to Env Eng and Intro to Green Eng. So I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible/common for students in one engineering discipline to enter a masters program in a different engineering discipline if they are looking for a terminal degree so they can get a job in the field of whatever masters program they enter (I'm not looking to move to a PhD). I guess in my case I would have my UG degree in ISE and my masters degree in EEN, hoping to get a job in the field of EEN... any thoughts?

Thanks

It’s very common. There have been half a dozen threads about this topic in the last week. You might want to try reading some of those.
