Different majors and jobs

I don't really know much about business, and I would like to learn more. What different majors are there in business and what jobs are they usually associated with?

id like to know this too any1 wanna help us?

I don't know much on the different majors in business

I have finished marketing major years ago and will be sharing my experiences on the job side.

I've done my major in Marketing. You might think of something like...Doing marketing Strategies, marketing tactics...all the related stuff.
Isn't that funny, I'm now a Product manager of the Database Department

The fact is. marketing can be anything, It will Related to Sales, Purchase, Engineerings, or even you daily life.
One of my friend had finished his major in Computer Engineering. He ended up in a Truck-Assembly Factory on the production line as a supervisor.

Back to your question. Major in Business, Your job could be......
(I will index the number from lowest to the highest)
1.Admin
2.Salesperson, Sales-Co., Sales assist. Marketing Personal
3.Assist. Sales manager
4.Sales manager, Marketing Manager, Product Manager, All the manager
5.Supervisor
6.Regional Sales manager

So on and so Forth.....

This depends on factors below

What College You are from

GPA? Certificate?, years of job experience?

How would you sell yourself to the company you're applying (during interviewing session)

How's your performance during probation.

EQ & IQ? (Ability to survive & solve the problem)

How good you are in playing your role in the company maybe related to company political environment.

How good you are in maintaining your current status.

Business Ethic?

That's a brief detail of all about it. Hope this answered at least 25% of your question.

^ don't know what he is talking about but the main business majors are:

Finance
Marketing
Management
Accounting
Management Information Systems
Operations Management
International Business

I'd recommend researching all of these areas more and seeing which interests you. (there are also other lesser known business majors which are available at certain schools..ie Real Estate Finance, Agribusiness, energy commerce, etc)

Basely despite whatever major you are the fact is it doesn't matter when you apply for jobs in Wall street. Does Econ, Math & Business majors have advantage over other candidates, yes. But remember Wall street is all about prestige, basely you're in Rich society where you serve them and basely must be there nearly 24/7.

So if you if your GPA isn't at least 3.5 and you didn't go to Ivy or Ivy-related then you'll mostly likely be struggling just to get into the industry then you must be somewhat a suck up to your boss to learn, advance, & survive. Business world is very competitive and nowadays it's not what you know it's who you know. Yes it's sad because you may have to relied on a friend to advance instead your own ability but it's true. I mean think about; due to their relation with alumni or school staff some kids (mostly rich kids) are able to get into these top schools (especially Harvard). Then you have the athletes wont needs 2.0 just to remain on the team and schools always need them to make some profit. Next are musicians and they are same as athletes there just isn't as high demand as there for athletes. Finally we reach everyone else!

Messed up scale but that's how it really is, though I'm in HS even I figure this factor out and I can assure that other people will back me up on this.

^ This thread isn't about wall street.

^
VectorWega

I think syncastar and me weren't trying to spam this thread or anything.

The guy was asking for the major in which I wasn't sure.

These information about "Business Majors" are all over the internet.

But those that I was discussing about aren't. Grow up and get a job

^
Syncaster's post was completely off topic.

Your post was not off topic. It was simply incoherent and confusing. Like *** is this garbage:
