So there's the Math 3 series, consisting of 3a, 3b, 3c; then there's the 31 series, consisting of 31a, 31b, 32a, etc.

Is there a big difference which set you take, depending on your major or grad school and whatnot?

Take the 3 series if you’re a Life Sciences major/Pre-Med. Take the 31, 32, etc. series if you’re everything else.

take the 3 series if you’re a chump

I’m interested in life science but I also might major in math or something else entirely. Is there a specific reason why a life science major should not take Math 31b, 32a, etc. if they feel they can handle the math?

^ no
