Different types of essays for different types of colleges?

Hi guys! Thank you in advance for your time; any help would be really appreciated.

Right now, I’m thinking of applying to some colleges with really low acceptance rates and some colleges that are comparatively easier to get into. For the former, I know that my essays should be more about my personality/individual growth, and not about my achievements/things you can assume from other parts of my app. For the latter (“easier” schools to get into) I was wondering if my essays should be centered more around my achievements/intellectual interests, instead of me personally?

What colleges are looking for in essays doesn’t change based on their acceptance rate. There’s no reason to change your essay for “easier” schools. If it’s good enough for “harder” schools, why isn’t it good enough for the “easier” schools.
