My son took Linear Algebra and Differential Equations at Coastline Community College this semester. The class was awful. The instructor did not return his emails and was not involved in teaching the class at all. My son basically just read the textbook, and the tests were extremely difficult. He is signed up to take Discrete Mathematics online at Miracosta Community College next semester; hopefully this one will be better. Overall he has unfortunately been underwhelmed with the online math classes he has taken thus far.
The http://www.cvc.edu/courses/ lets you search for online community college classes. A quick check says to look at Diablo Valley College.
My son took Mulivariable online through Cerro Coso Community College. He got an A with a lot of work, but I can’t recommend the course. There were no lectures from the professor, just some links to Khan Academy-style videos from assorted people on the various topics. The homework and tests were from Pearson’s MyMathLab and sometimes quirky about how you entered an answer to not have it marked wrong. The tests were mainly an exercise in being able to do 27 multivariable problems in 2 hours with time to check for accuracy. The professor was responsive to email about problems that were incorrect or difficult for some people and when to schedule proctors, but that was all the interaction there was. No curve, and suspiciously there were several students who never missed any questions, so I guess there are answer banks somewhere.
