Has anyone taken either of these courses at a CC? What profs would you recommend? I hear physics 2 is brutal at UT but idk about DQ, is it okay?

You mean Engineering Physics II?

yep, got any input on taking these courses at CC over summer vs at UT during the regular term?

I’m in 303k right now and it is okay but i heard 303L is awful so I’m lookin to knock it out at CC

Classmates have told me that Underwood is good for Physics II. If you don’t mind a 2 hour lecture immediately followed by a 2 hour lab then it’s certainly a viable option.

Thanks contramundum09.

I looked up underwood on myedu and his grade breakdown averaged…
~20% A
~40% B
~25% C
~17% Withdraw

That doesn’t seem that great IMO, but if that is the best I can expect for PHYS II at UT or Community College then I guess I have no choice. It also didn’t show the data for summer courses, so I wonder what the breakdowns look like for that?

As far as I know Underwood is the best ACC has to offer regarding Physics II. I can’t, however, comment on any of the UT physics professors.

Any more input on Diff Eq or PHYS 2 guys?

bumping…

Diff Eq i dont think its necessary to take at a cc. however physics two is rough lol

THanks ohmygosh09.

Why do you say it’s not necessary to take DQ at CC?

bumping…

Alot of people (including myself) regard physics 2 more difficult. Calculus is much more straight forward

Thanks ohmyghosh09. So M427K is basically just another calculus course in terms of difficulty and content?
